not bad at all sam! consider that your video card is last gen, and a score like that becomes even more impressive.

yeah this thread kinda died down a little bit, then i revived it with my score. and then it sorta fell again. it's just that i don't know if we have enough members that want to post their scores yet. i assume that once membership starts sky-rocketing, then we'll get more posters that want to show off too.

as for my 3dmark01 score, i don't want to upset you

but here it is anyway

Nah that score doesn't upset me.
considering you have better parts than I do. but hey my system works great, I can play all the latest games on it so its ok by me.
It also probably helps my score that I got 3gigs of memory.

That's strange. I scored less than you link in 3DMark2001, but more than you in 06 . Then again probably because 3DMark06 is accustomed to new technologies such as dual and quad core etc etc

it may also be the OS you're using or the resolution of the screen. there are a few factors that do make a little bit of difference.

i was noticing fantastically high framerates. take the first video test for example. the one with the pickup driving all over the place and escaping explosions. i was getting close to 800 fps for that scene. and on almost all other video tests, my frames always exceeded at least 250 fps.

I was getting 4 to 500 fps on that one link. everything else was 100 to 200 fps.

Looking at your FPS values it is clear why mine are so sh*te - the thing never ran over 7 fps in any test and I should be doing better than this given the spec of the system. Joshua has been helping with this and I will post this same message on that thread too.

The thing is, most people that run that program have intel, does that mean I need intel?

No it doesn't, not at all. You can run this program no matter what your spec.

It's because of the content that it's using to test the system. The CG movies that it uses to test the cpu and gpu are pretty graphically intense, and usually something like that tends to be large in file size. Free version of not, you're going to have a large download file.

That's actually a fair score for your spec .

You think,I thought it would be a bit better than that. What changes can I make to my settings to see if I can improve it.I know a little about my video card settings but not much about overclocking and stuff?

You might be able to tweak a few things here and there in the Nvidia control panel. For instance, you could set it so that it goes into high performance mode, sacrificing some quality. Make sure you also turn off any excess processes that might be running. You could also go into direct fan control mode and turn the video card fan on to max. The cooler your parts, the better they can perform.

Little things like that can improve your score. Also, perform the test multiple times. You won't always get the same score twice. You might score higher or lower depending on what your system does during the test and what conditions it was running under.

Edit: I just tried out 3dmark2001 just out of sheer curiosity and scored over 48000 3dmarks.
