Being the fluff in the belly button of England is marginally better than being something at the other end - understood to be Birmingham I think!

BRMB radio used to be really great when it first started. Trouble is that the ghastly brummy accent is muddled with the Black Country accent which has enormous character. Some really brilliant beers come from the Black Country - if you ever go there go to the Swan on Netherton Green - not changed for years.

Wiki says "Launched on 19 February 1974, on mediumwave 261 metres, (1152kHz) and 94.8 MHz FM, BRMB was the fourth independent commercial radio station to broadcast in Britain after Capital Radio, LBC and Radio Clyde. Broadcasting popular music with local news, live football coverage and information, the station became popular amongst residents in Birmingham, before changing to 96.4 FM Stereo in 1986."
And also
"96.4FM BRMB is a Music radio station based in Birmingham, UK. The original company, Birmingham Broadcasting Ltd., wanted something that combined a US-style call-sign with the company name. In August 2008 it was announced that BRMB would be sold to satisfy the Office of Fair Trading's ruling on the takeover of GCap Media by Global Radio."

ahh Okayy lol.
See why i was asking - Down here in my fav part of the UK, we had '103.2 Power FM.' My childhood idols heros were on there, and thus my love of music was born from them. And that station was owned by this "GCap Media by Global Radio."
Buttt.. in 2006ish. all the presenteres left.. and now it has been brought out by a radio company called Glaxy becuase it was doing so bad.
I noticed BRMB was owned by GCap Media by Global Radio, and so just wondered if it went bad at the same time as power. *sighs* i doo miss it, all UK radio that flys through the air is utter crap now in my opinion, do you listen to any up there Albert? or are you another radio hater?!
