Hello ?
Anyone there ?
Hello ?

Hello?

What? Get away! As a kid (in Norfolk) I was taught to use a shotgun, given one of my own and then sent out to kill pigeons - and was told if you see a squilly, kill that too and it will go onto the pie with the birds. Never did, and soon gave up killing small furry animals, got rid of the gun and am a bit more content with myself ever since!

Is there a post count or something that determines when a thread is closed and reopened as another part/continuation?

*spots a clue*

So page count would be the determining factor? 100 or more pages and start a new one?

Not really, no. Just something that has happened since the very first one, although I really don't mind it getting to 1000+ since it's exactly the same but everything contained in one thread.

Ok, Jason ... Rik. I was just curious.

Another forum I was at had a limit of 5000 posts I think, then it was continued in another, to save bandwidth, I believe.
One particular thread there would have had to have been re-started every week by TST's standards. It was gif-full and posters like myself could fill a page in an hour.

Surely the old chit chat threads could be deleted

I aren't deleting previous ones. Not sure how bandwidth can be saved with limit of thread pages. Anyhow, lets continue ramble muttering as the previous chit chat threads.

*changes topic*

I need to get my grass cut. Today.
It's been cut once by myself with hedge shears earlier in the Summer and now it needs doing again.
I've had my lads out asking their friends if they have a lawn mover we can borrow for an hour but they keep forgetting, the middle one teasing me with promises of yes, I'll ask so-and-so when I can go get it but I don't have his phone number.
*pouts*
I've just gone out to measure it and it's 2 feet or taller in some spots, bare in patches for I'm-all-of-a-sudden-allergic-to-grass, Angel dawg.

So ... I either go down to the yucky old neighbour's house to ask him (he'll agree but there will be strings) or I get the shears out (the lads are at opposite ends of the city limits, conveniently).

Can I borrow your Hoover, Sista?

I've not cut my grass yet. Someone send me a goat, please.

I just busted my hump cleaning and washing and dusting and blah blah blah for da Prince's guest whom is arriving tonight for a week's visit, only to be just told by the sleepy eyed monster that "... oh I didn't I tell you he's got to work and is coming on Tuesday, instead?"

No, you didn't.
