I was originally planning on getting it fully colour coded, then was thinking maybe Irmy bumpers (wanted to get the skirts anyway) but have now decided to down the new car route.

They're the perfect wheels imo, obviously I'm not biased at all 5 spokes is always a winner and the shape of these ones really goes with the Corsa B body shape.

It's in fairly good condition but does have a few things that could do with sorting out Like the bent door for example, and the millions of stone chips on the bonnet.

I love mk2 GTE's as well, there was one on AT ages ago that someone on CS bought and I showed my dad the listing (it was up for about £1500) and he said "It's never worth paying that much for a car that old", to which I said "you obviously don't know what it is then" To most people it's an old Astra, but to those with a trained eye, it's a classic You can get the 16v ones with a C20XE already in them, but I think that the 8v ones are easier to find for sale.

Yeah mate it'll be a Z18XE, iirc it's 7 seconds to 60 which is a good improvement on my current 20ish What bits do you have?

I want to get some vids with my mate filming from the passenger seat but it's not happened yet

Which shape Clio is that? I can't remember what the Williams ones look like now

I think i remember you saying about colour coding it all mate, shame it didn't happen would have looked spot on.

Haha yeah, i have to say i'm quite a lover of 5 spoke wheels, all depends on how fat the spokes are etc aswell. Yours look good though, quite like them.

Yeah i know some later GTE's came with the valver engines in, but none ever rolled out the factory with the C20LET, the 8v ones aren't too much of an issue providing its a 2.0 bottom end, just put a coscast head on and its converted to a valver easy as that really

I'm assuming your dad didn't realise it was a GTE then? 1500 for one in real good shape is a good price, a really good example is at least 3k, most you see for around 2k aren't too bad but need loads of work to get them up to scratch.

I'd love to get my hands on one and just use it every once in a while, keep it garaged the rest of the time. Doesn't have to be massively fast but something decent would be good, some nice wheels, lowered, possibly morettes, irmy smoked rear lights etc would make it spot on. Three colours of choice for me are either red, white, or the grey they also did!

All those look mint in my opinion, would really love a mint example, one day i'm sure i'll get what i want. If only i had a place spare to keep one i'd buy one tomorrow lol.

The Clio Williams is abit of a classic now aswell mate, its on a N plate, the Williams 3 they only ever made around 500 of them i think, so a very rare car as many of them were wrote off because they are fast, the rest have been scrapped with age, so quite a rare car all in all.

Although these are not my pictures (sadly don't have any to show on this laptop) this is pretty much the same as what i have.

Don't know if you know what engine they have, but its a 2litre 16v and because they are so small and light, it shifts even by todays standards.

They are fully wide arched front and back as standard and have wide track standard too, so they are still very much a good hot hatch, handle really well for what they are. Will give many cars a run and beat most, would deffinatly give my Astra a run for its money to a certain point.

Looking forward to finishing this up and getting it on the road to be honest.

Oh and bits i have, ive got ported polished and gasflowed head, i think somewhere ive also still got ported throttle body but would have to check. Might have a few other odds and ends but would have to look to see what ive got mate.

Should be a huge improovement when you get it mate, it'll feel unbelievable speed wise, but after about 2 weeks you'll be wanting something faster again, lol way it goes sadly, never satisfied for long.

I think I told him that it was a GTE but he still thought it was too much money for an old car He's one of these people that thinks he knows loads about cars but doesn't really Granted there are a few things he knows that I don't, but that's mostly practical things that I haven't gotten round to doing yet.

White looks amazing imo, saw a pic of a red one the other day and that was good too. Not sure if I've seen any grey ones, would that be Smoke Grey or maybe something else? Well maintained Smoke Grey can look really nice so it'd probably look pretty good in that

A 2.0 16v in one of those? I'll take your word that it shifts And people think XE Corsas are quick..

Yeah mate I'll be going from 54bhp to about 130, I'm hoping that will keep a smile on my face for a while I'm not sure how long I'll be able to leave the standard backbox on though, I like the sound of mine too much haha. I would definitely get another Ashley though, it's exactly the sort of sound I like Really nice deep rumble and shouts like no tomorrow when you floor it Especially after about 4k rpm when the inlet is fully open, then it's REALLY loud
