Wow, you really did get some heat, Walt.
It's the zone, I guess ... it was like that in Toronto and Markham, where I grew up, but Niagara Falls and London fall drives were usually even warmer this time of year, while back home we'd had a few frosts and the "heat" all but gone. The skies were overcast (smog) much of the time, but especially noticible in the summer.
I may sit on the balcony again tonight with a cuppa (sweater, on).

Yes, in fact if there's a bad storm in Markham, my Mum will call ahead to warn me. Being so close to the Lake and canal, most bad ones blow over us about 3 hours later or maybe they just wouldn't dare.
I have a swingy chair, that moves with the breeze, hanging on a chain.
On hot Summer nights, I've fallen asleep in it, but not tonight as it'll be just a bit cool, even with a sweater, and my dawg trying to lie on my feet, stops the swing. Plus, I think another humungous spider has taken up residence, based on new web action.
