Recently I have a problem of lost/deleted emails from my Windows Live Mail account Storage folders. I searched for the'.dbx' files on the PC and imported the messages into the Windows Live Mail format after selecting the required folder from the BROWSE drop down menu. However, the import stops with the following Warning Alert message:

" NO MESSAGES CAN BE FOUND IN THIS FOLDER OR ANOTHER APPLICATION IS RUNNING THAT HAS THE REQUIRED FILES IPEN. PLEASE SELECT ANOTHER FOLDER OR TRY CLOSING APPLICATIONS THAT MAY HAVE FILES OPEN."

I closed all open files and folders and browser windows except for Windows Live Mail Import dialog box, which had been opened to carry out the required import of messages. The import of these messages does not take effect and the same Warning Alert message is received, as show above.
I would be most grateful for your kind help and advice to resolve this problem.
