Make sure the speakers are plugged into the correct socket on the machine.
As you have moved the machine I would also take the lid off and re-seat the sound card by pushing it firmly down into the slot.
Finally, in device manager, uninstall your sound card and then reboot the machine. This should reinstall the drivers.
