I also saw it was unresolved and that it was a problem I'd had recently myself, so I knew everything I'd tried. The poor guy might still not be able to get sound on his machine - and nobody had put forward any of the stuff I put forward in my reply, so at least I gave him a bunch of new stuff to try out!
