Jason, you are absolutely right. Politics is politics no matter where you reside.
1. Politician. They make all sorts of promises, give vague descriptions on what they
will do for you and in the end give you nothing.
2. Used car salesman. They make all sorts of promises, give you a vague description
on what the vehicle will do for you, but in the end you may get a piece of metal
that may or may not last.
3. Hooker. They give only three promises:
(1) you will get what you pay for;
(2) it will be the best you've ever had; and
(3) they are not an undercover officer. They are very specific in what they will do for
(to) you, because if you didn't pay for it upfront, you ain't getting it.
In the end, although you get screwed, it's what you wanted all along.
I heard 2 presidents in a row say, "READ MY LIPS.....yada, yada, yada and then
go and do whatever they wish anyway.
I do have hopes for
President Obama.
