That link looks like it could be helpful though, although that seems to be for if it won't open, in this case it's done a magic trick and disappeared itself.

Try having a look at C:\Program Files\Windows Mail and make sure the files are actually there.

I have the folder, It has a lot of files and .exe
Wab.exe, Wabmig.exe and Windowsmailgadget.exe ....

No one of those opens the windows mail thingy.....
