The case temp with my old setup used to be about 32C on a normal day, sometimes more in the evening when I have my door shut. Usually if the CPU went up a degree or two, a case temp rise followed shortly after, but then of course the warm air was just blowing onto the hsf which didn't cool it very well which meant that it tended to rise very gradually over time
